PC COAT T - 11G is a Moldcoat graphite-filled, alcohol-based liquid wash specifically designed for application on green sand, silicate sand, and resin sand for molds and cores, ensuring an excellent casting finish. This product consists of high-quality graphite powder with outstanding suspension and covering properties. When casting cast iron, SG Iron, and nickel and copper-based alloys into green sand, CO2 set, and resin-bonded sand molds, it is crucial to coat the sand surfaces that will come into contact with molten metal. Our coatings, which are part of our ISO 9001:2015 foundry chemicals, effectively prevent erosion, metal stroke mold reactions, and sand burn on surfaces.
PC COAT T - 11G is a ready-to-use liquid coating that can be applied by spraying or brushing.

It is essential to ensure that this product is thoroughly mixed to a homogeneous consistency by stirring before use.
This light-off coating is ideal for use on sand molds and cores in the casting of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys. When applying refractory coatings to molds and cores, achieving an even coating over the metal/sand contact areas is of utmost importance. This is best accomplished by spraying, although brushing and, in the case of cores, dipping can also be effective methods. When spraying, a good dense delivery is recommended, as a fine spray may result in premature evaporation of the thinner and an unsatisfactory coating. Always ensure that the coating is well mixed and suspended before application.
